Linda Graydon, BScN, is the principal of Soulscape Interiors. She began her professional life in nursing, focusing on client and community health needs and has over 30 years experience as a Public Health Nurse. This has nurtured highly developed assessment skills and empathy for individuals and families experiencing life’s challenges and transitions.
An interest in design and home environments led Linda to the Sheridan College Interior Decorating Program where she graduated with high honours. She then created Soulscape Interiors in 2008. While the focus of her business has always been rooted in designing spaces that nurture the soul, Linda felt there needed to be something more than creating beautiful rooms. Being sensitive to the energy of a home or building, Linda would often feel that the space was not aligned in a way that supported the people living or working there. Sometimes the flow of energy would not feel right, even if it was the most beautifully designed environment.
Trusting in the journey, the third leg of Linda’s professional life led her to training in Feng Shui. She has taken intensive programs both in Canada and the United States through Master consultants and is a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner. Although Linda has trained in both Modern (Western) and Classical Feng Shui, her practice is based on the complex formulas found in the latter traditional methods. Linda believes this results in a much more detailed and accurate assessment.
In addition, Linda is a certified Reiki Master which further enhances her intuitive abilities and connection with healing energy for spaces and individuals.
Linda is an accredited member of the Canadian Decorators Association (CDECA) and the International Feng Shui Guild (IFSG). This standard of professionalism is a key foundation for her business. Linda also believes in ongoing education and is continually attending workshops, trade shows and webinars to keep her skills and knowledge up to date. She is also certified as a Dewey Colour Consultant and received training as Canadian Certified Staging Professional™, and in Live Green, Live Smart.
Linda strongly values giving back to the community. Since 2010 she has volunteered for Walls of Hope, a grass-roots volunteer organization that does home makeovers for families in need and for agencies that support people in the local community. In addition to sitting on the Board of Directors, she also heads the process for selecting recipient families and agencies as well as helping lead the design work. Linda believes everyone deserves a home and work environment that nurtures and supports them and volunteering for Walls of Hope has enabled her to help provide healing spaces to many deserving families.
